I am an ARB registered architect, qualifying in 2006, with an interest and expertise in climate specific environmental design and engineering. Currently I am completing a PhD in design related building energy consumption and lecturing part time at a school of architecture in London. I aim to combine innovative green architectural practice with empirical research.
As an architect I have led teams on a range of new build and redevelopment projects including commercial offices, social housing, schools, environmentally innovative academic buildings and theatres. I have worked with clients from public institutions and private sector development organisations.
My PhD focuses on the potential for energy consumption information to inform, support and justify strategic and detailed building design, construction, management and commercial decisions. I am particularly interested in the relationships between architecture, environmental performance and place.
My teaching work has encompassed design tutoring for post graduate students, supervising MSc students’ through their theses and teaching undergraduates.
