Based now in Edinburgh, I am an arts manager originally from the north-east, working to encourage and promote opportunities for young people to gain employment in the creative industries in Scotland. As a graduate without an arts academic background, I feel passionately about the equal importance of arts subjects, as this was not encouraged in my own education and this is why I have joined Arts Emergency.
I now coordinate a programme of creative modern apprenticeships for young people, working alongside arts and creative organisations across Scotland and supporting young people in to positive creative destinations.
My background is in community and youth arts. I have led an award winning youth project as a project manager, coordinated a large regional arts and heritage partnership project and have worked on capital international arts programmes. My skills exist mainly in arts management and administration, fundraising, coordination and partnership working.
I am also a young feminist and love cats and tea.
