Arts Emergency

Nicole McNeilly

Applications Coordinator, PRS for Music Foundation

I’ve been involved in music since picking up a trombone at the age of 11, and I’m thankful for what has been a rewarding and challenging career so far. Studying music (or any creative art), it was clear that to be successful we had to diversify our talents, and a passion for social justice led me into social music education and then into the study of cultural policy. My current role gives an overview of the creative arts, funding and policy scenes across the whole of the UK- and an in-depth view of the music industry in London. I’ve always recognised how chance, luck and circumstance combine to create opportunities, and now it seems like a great time to give back.
