Arts Emergency appoints Melissa Wong as new Director of Programmes

We're delighted to welcome experienced researcher, evaluator, and consultant for the arts and cultural sector Melissa Wong as Director of Programmes.

This exciting new role will see Melissa provide leadership and strategic direction for all of Arts Emergency’s programmes and ensure that it continues to deliver high quality and sustainable services for a growing number of young people from under-represented backgrounds, who strive for a career in the creative sector.

The appointment comes as we celebrate our 10th birthday and aim to move forward with ambitious plans to expand and broaden our reach nationally, so more young people can benefit from our activities.

Neil Griffiths, CEO of Arts Emergency says of the appointment:

Melissa has worked as a freelance researcher, evaluator, and consultant since 2016, alongside roles as Senior Manager for Children, Young People, and Learning at Arts Council England, Impact Manager at Nesta Arts & Culture Finance and Creative Programme Manager at Help Musicians UK.
