Welcoming the New Youth Collective!

The 2024-25 Arts Emergency Youth Collective has been convened and already has big plans

In October an amazing group of familiar faces and brand new smiles came together for the first time at a residential weekend in Shropshire with members of the Arts Emergency team to explore working together, set some goals, and kick of their collaboration plans...

Together, Adebukola, Amie, Arisha, Ayah, Chloe, Fisola, Freda, Gen, Georgia, Louis, Sam, and Yusuf will make up the Arts Emergency Youth Collective for the next year. Sam and Chloe will also serve as Young Trustees on our Board. You can find out more about these incredible Young Community members on the Our People page!

The Youth Collective is a group of young people who work closely with us to help us ensure that young people’s voices are at the heart of everything we do through:

- Advocating for young people’s interests to Arts Emergency

- Providing a sounding board on emerging ideas and plans from a young person’s perspective

- Taking a leadership role in cultivating and setting the agenda for the Young Community

The team is made up of a young people from across London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and beyond - working, studying, and dreaming across a number of creative disciplines. They applied for this paid advisory group and were selected for their passion, commitment, and engagement with the vision behind the work Arts Emergency does. They will represent the almost 2000-strong Young Community who rely on Arts Emergency's long term support to build sustainable, fulfilling creative lives.

Arts Emergency provides the Youth Collective with resources and support so that they can bring all their insights and experiences to the table. Youth Collective members meet regularly, both in person and online, and work closely with members of Arts Emergency's Board and Senior Leadership Team, as well as the rest of the organisation, to ensure that the programmes we deliver are truly designed for the people we exist to serve.

Network members and supporters can look forward to running into them at upcoming events, or hear from them in future newsletters, and may feel confident that the young people we serve are leading on shaping the work of the organisation - making it truly unique and keeping real-world impact at the forefront.

We hope you enjoy getting to know this exceptional group, who are incredibly excited to get collaborating, get connecting, and get to work making this movement even better!
